How Thousand Miles is Navigating COVID-19 Restricted Movement Order

Everyone involved in our brand is an essential part of our community—our customers, partners, friends, and the people who work at Thousand Miles. We're committed to empathize through the lens of all parties and understand what we can do to help solve their problems.

The current climate is no different. 

At the end of the day, the most important thing is everybody's health and we want to navigate this the best we can during this pandemic.

So what are we doing? We're acting as we learn. 

We make calculated, well-informed decisions in real-time while proactively planning and acting forward. We've been on high alert monitoring and following advice from WHO (World Health Organization) and government bodies involved (Hong Kong, China & Malaysia).

Products and Orders.

All products and orders going out will be sanitized at every stage before we dispatch to ensure that parcels sent out from our warehouse are safe. We're also working closely with local couriers and fulfilment team to ensure that we do the best we can & safely deliver the parcels to our customers' doorstep.

Workspaces & Remote Work.

All workspaces such as fulfilment centres where most of our team members are not able to work remotely will be professionally sanitised twice a day & cleaned twice a week. The rest of the team will be able to work remotely. All meetings will be done virtually and all work-travels have been postponed until further notice.

Customer support.

All of our amazing customer support representatives will work remotely during the usual working hours so if we do not get back to you within 48 working hours, please drop us a message and we will have our team reach out to you personally and help you with your enquiries.

Salaries & fixed costs.

We're expecting recession during this pandemic and to ensure that our employee's welfare will still be taken care of and fixed cost such as fulfilment warehouses are paid for, the board of directors and top-level management have unanimously agreed to take on a 20% pay cut for the next 6 months effective immediately to act as a reserve for the company if we face financial constraints.

Final thoughts.

During tough times like these is when we are able to fully express our heartfelt gratitude to everybody that is standing by us and still support businesses like us. We will continue growing and improving to serve the community better and become a brand that everybody is proud of.
